This Christian mission was founded by veteran missionary to Liberia, Rev. George Graham, whose
missionary service in Liberia began in 1974.

Why Liberia
As Americans, we have a long and unique tie to this West African nation. Liberia is a result of African colonization of free born Blacks and former slaves from the United states. From the 1820s to the early 1900s, through the efforts of the American Colonization Society, upwards of 12,000 free born blacks and former slaves migrated to Liberia.
Liberia ultimately gained its independence in 1847. This west African nation grew and developed steadily until a devastating civil war. From the late 1980s to 2003, this war crippled most of the country’s infrastructure and most of its past gains were lost. Soon after the end of the war, Reverend George A. Graham, a missionary, that had worked on the missionary field of Liberia for many years returned to Africa.
In 2012, he founded the Bahnhill Lighthouse Mission in USA and Africa . His work primarily focuses on Bahntown (a small village deep in the bush). In order to help more areas in the country, God lead the US based organization to change its name to Amberia Missions Inc. USA (AMI.)
